After driving through the desert and dunes of United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi can appear like a mirage. It’s hard to believe that humans could make something of such exquisite perfection and grace. The patterns and reflections are mesmerizing. A site attracting millions of Muslims, it’s surely one of the holiest places in the world, welcome to all visitors regardless of faith.
