With a history of champions in tennis, rugby and other sports, Australia is a growing power in FIBA basketball.

Even without rising star Ben Simmons, the Boomers in China are booming with talents such as Patty Mills and Joe Ingles. 

They won the Group of Death, beating Canada and Lithuania. Losing in double overtime to Spain in the semis, they were a few missed shots or free throws away from reaching the final and potentially winning their first ever world championship. 

An energetic team hungry for greater success, they will be one to watch at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
