Kasabian, after headlining InMusic Festival in Zagreb, will play Sziget Festival in Budapest on August 11 along with PJ Harvey, Rudimental Live, Mando Diao, DJ Shadow and others.
The festival August 9 to 16 on the Danube River’s “Island of Freedom” will also feature Major Lazer, Pink, Wiz Khalifa, Alt-J, Rita Ora, The Kills, The Vaccines, Steve Aoki and many others.
Sziget, founded in 1993 as a student event, has become one of the most interesting summer festivals in Europe, with circus performances and other forms of entertainment meant to provide an alternative reality. Organizers say about 90,000 people attended the festival on a daily basis last year, and about half of all fans come from outside Hungary.
Fans can camp near the stages or stay in Budapest, one of the most scenic cities in Europe. Organizers say tickets are still available, including discounted 3-day packages.
