Argentina win the Argentina way

Argentina’s youth team looks like their teams that won World Cups with Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi.

They have dominated every game to reach the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals.

They are big, rough, solid, deep and talented. They get an early lead on teams and then put up a defensive wall behind the ball. Nobody has scored against them in knock-out games.

In the FIFA U-20 World Cup quarter-final in Santiago, they swarmed Mexico’s 16-year old phenom Gilberto Mora to deny him the ball, and they gave him no angles to get a shot on goal.

Their defenders such as Tobias Ramirez, Julio Soler and Dylan Gorosito look ready to play in the FIFA World Cup next year.

After they get the ball, they go long to strikers such as Alejo Sarco, Maher Carrizo and Mateo Silvetti (from Messi’s hometown of Rosario) who strike with deadly precision.

With playmakers such as Gianluca Prestianni in a deep pool of talent, they appear more developed than other youth teams.

They look ready to win their 8th U-20 World Cup title.
