Serbia lists Jokic, Bogdanovic and other NBA players on pre-Olympic roster

Serbia’s preliminary roster ahead of the Paris Olympics includes three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and Atlanta Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, who led Serbia to the FIBA World Cup finals in Manila, where they lost to champions Germany.

After losing to Minnesota in the second round of the NBA playoffs, Jokic has reportedly been spending time rafting with friends and family, and he will have a longer off-season than last year, when his team won the NBA finals in June.

Serbia’s legendary coach Svetislav Pesic also announced that his roster includes Charlotte Hornets guard Vasilie Micic and forward Aleksei Pokusevski, and Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic.

Serbia is scheduled to play its first Olympic game July 28 against the United States, who have added several superstars since finishing fourth in Manila.
