Rivals at FIBA U19 in Prague in 2013, Aaron Gordon and Nicola Jokic lead Denver Nuggets to NBA title

Aaron Gordon, who thrilled fans with his leaping and dunking ability, was the MVP of the FIBA under-19 world championships in Prague in 2013. His Team USA beat Serbia in the finals. Serbia, though led by other players, had an 18-year old named Nicola Jokic.

Jokic, who only played 19 minutes in the final, was unusually skillful for such a big young man. Gordon had star quality, leadership and terrific energy at both ends of the floor. He was the most exciting player in the tournament, and people (including Jokic and Serbian players) flocked around him at a local bar after the final.

Ten years later, Gordon and Jokic combined to lead Denver Nuggets to the NBA title.
